Event Description:
Participants can explore the wetlands through bilingual guided walks, birdwatching, nature talks, hands-on activities, arts and crafts, and interactive science experiences. From discovering the tiny creatures living in the water to learning about the plants and birds that depend on the estuary, there will be something for every age and interest .One of the highlights will be a hands-on experience in the estuary, where participants can help plant 50 native plants, take part in a water quality demonstration, and spend time with biologists. Local conservation experts will help participants understand what these activities reveal about the health and importance of our wetlands. Families can also explore local biodiversity using iNaturalist, connect with conservation organizations, and discover nature up close through specimens, microscopes, field guides, and other educational tools. Latino Conservation Week is more than a celebration of nature. It is a celebration of community, culture, and collective action.¡Evento comunitario gratuito para todos! Free community event for all!
