Un Viaje por el Bosque en Valentine Reserve

Desarrolla tu curiosidad y conexión con la naturaleza a través de la observación y el uso de un diario de campo mientras caminas por los senderos de Valentine Reserve. Conoce los beneficios de un bosque saludable y las formas en que puedes proteger este recurso natural a través de prácticas recreativas responsables. Trae una libreta, lápiz, agua, gorra y bloqueador solar.

 

Todas las edades son bienvenidas; menores de 12 años deberán ser acompañados por un adulto.

Bird Walk with In Color Birding

Please join In Color Birding Club as they explore Tyler Arboretum for the first time. The outing is on Saturday, July 22nd from 7-9am. In Color Birding Club encourages the accessibility and welcoming of Black and brown folks into birding. We ask that all guests, including allies, ensure that the experiences of BIPOC folks are centered throughout this outing. We expect to see many birds and enjoy the arboretum with joy and inclusiveness!

Enjoy a bilingual hike to learn about the amazing lives of Monarch Butterflies, the changes they undergo and the ways we can help support their incredible migrating journey. Our “Milkweed” sites provide us a way to explore Monarch butterflies during stages of growth. We will hike around the Education Building and Mansion Area to visit these sites. The program will be provided rain or shine. Wear closed-toe shoes and dress for the weather.

Disfrute una caminata bilingüe para aprender sobre la asombrosa vida de las Mariposas Monarcas, sus cambios en crecimiento y nuestro apoyo a ellas durante su jornada migrante. Nuestras áreas de la planta “Algodoncillo”, nos provee la oportunidad de explorar las etapas de esta Mariposa. Caminaremos por estas áreas alrededor de la Mansión y Centro de Educación. El programa se dará llueva o haga sol. Vestir con zapatos cerrados y apropiado al tiempo.

Kite Flying at Cesar Chavez Park

Experience the color and fun of kites flying along the Berkeley waterfront! Have you been wanting to give kite flying a try, but don’t want to go by yourself? Or maybe you don’t own a kite? Well, Saved By Nature has you covered once again! We are excited to invite you to our seventh Dock of the Bay event happening Saturday, July 15th! Come by yourself or bring the family out for kite flying, lunch and a leisurely walk through one of the Bay Area's best-known places to fly a kite in the East Bay. The wind is plentiful, the space is expansive, and the views are incredible.

Join us for a vibrant plant walk at Alley Pond Park in celebration of Latino Conservation Week! Discover the rich biodiversity of Alley Pond Park with the guidance of Jocelyn Perez-Blanco, our knowledgeable and bilingual guide. English and translation assistance will be available to ensure everyone can fully participate. Immerse yourself in the natural wonders of the park as Jocelyn shares fascinating insight about local plants, their traditional uses, and importance of conservation. This event aims to foster a deeper connection to nature and promote conservation awareness within the Latino community. It's an opportunity to learn, engage, and appreciate the natural world together. Registration required as spots are limited.
