We will learn about pollinators during our visit. Transportation by school bus is available from the CMC; the event time includes travel time to and from the park. Join us at the Del Valle Regional Park for a vibrant celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month! Adults are invited to learn about influential Hispanic artists and how their work is inspired by the beauty of nature. After a short presentation, participants will create their own nature-inspired artwork to take home. Bring your friends, favorite snacks, and drinks for a relaxed and joyful gathering to honor culture, creativity, and community in the great outdoors. All materials will be provided; no prior art experience is necessary!  

Beneath every rock, within every tree, and under our very own feet, there is life. There it waits for young scientists to see it, observe it, and remember it. Challenge yourself in this competition to find the most types of plants, animals, and other life that you can find. There have been more than 1,200 species found at Del Valle, but there are probably still hundreds more yet to be found! Can we work together to find them? Let’s find out in this wild program for young scientists 12 and under and their families. Presented in English with Spanish translation available, so everyone can join the fun! 

Una expedición para encontrar vida silvestre 

Debajo de cada roca, dentro de cada árbol y debajo de nuestros pies podemos encontrar vida. Deseamos que los jóvenes científicos puedan verla, observarla y recordarla. El objetivo de la competencia es encontrar la mayor variedad de tipos de plantas, animales y otras forma de vida. Se han encontrado más de 1,200 especies en Del Valle, ¡pero quizás haya cientos más por descubrir!  ¿Podremos tratar de encontrarlas juntos? Vamos a averiguarlo con este programa de vida silvestre para jóvenes científicos de hasta 12 años de edad y sus familias. ¡Presentación en inglés, con traducción al español disponible para que todos puedan unirse a la diversión!  

Este evento será solamente en español. ¡Todos son bienvenidos, ya sea que hablen español como primer idioma o no!

Camp, share meals and work to protect wild places, plants and animals through hands-on restoration and protection work in some of Utah's most beautiful landscapes.

The NYSDEC I FISH NY program is excited to offer a free and engaging outdoor education experience through fishing.  We provide all the necessary equipment, bait, and instruction will be in English and Spanish (1pm-2p).  Space is limited for each one hour session.  The event is first come, first served.

Discovering what it means to be a Latino exploring the outdoors. What is our role in conservation? How can we change the narrative? How we can we mobilize to be advocates for nature in our own lives? These questions and more are explored over a weekend trip camping in Northern Minnesota, taking in the sights of the Great Lakes.

Come down to the North Tract of Patuxent to play a game of conservation trivia!
