Join us at the Del Valle Regional Park for a vibrant celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month! Adults are invited to learn about influential Hispanic artists and how their work is inspired by the beauty of nature. After a short presentation, participants will create their own nature-inspired artwork to take home. Bring your friends, favorite snacks, and drinks for a relaxed and joyful gathering to honor culture, creativity, and community in the great outdoors. All materials will be provided; no prior art experience is necessary!

Join us for a community field trip to Mirror Lake State Park! We will have options for all ages and abilities to explore the park and enjoy nature together. We will learn about pollinators during our visit. Transportation by school bus is available from the CMC; the event time includes travel time to and from the park. A free picnic lunch will be provided. Limit: 50 participants

Beneath every rock, within every tree, and under our very own feet, there is life. There it waits for young scientists to see it, observe it, and remember it. Challenge yourself in this competition to find the most types of plants, animals, and other life that you can find. There have been more than 1,200 species found at Del Valle, but there are probably still hundreds more yet to be found! Can we work together to find them? Let’s find out in this wild program for young scientists 12 and under and their families. Presented in English with Spanish translation available, so everyone can join the fun!

Debajo de cada roca, dentro de cada árbol y debajo de nuestros pies podemos encontrar vida. Deseamos que los jóvenes científicos puedan verla, observarla y recordarla. El objetivo de la competencia es encontrar la mayor variedad de tipos de plantas, animales y otras forma de vida. Se han encontrado más de 1,200 especies en Del Valle, ¡pero quizás haya cientos más por descubrir! ¿Podremos tratar de encontrarlas juntos?
