
Meet the Reptile Celebrities of Red Cliffs
Beat the heat in the St. George Library and meet Tu-wee the Desert Tortoise, Charlie the King Snake and Hercules the Gila monster. These are the reptile celebrities, and endangered species ambassadors, of Red Cliffs. They’re here to take photos with the family and teach you how to protect their desert home. Enjoy tortoise trivia and games, and earn your badge to become a Certified Tortoise Defender.

Desert Animals Storytime & Crafts in the Park
Bring the kids out to a Red Cliffs Summer Story and Craft Session in honor of Latino Conservation Week. Join us for nature stories in Spanish and English under a shady tree at the Brooks Nature Park. This activity includes a meet n’ greet with live desert animals from the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve and a tortoise-themed craft for each child.

Nature on the Beach
“Who am I?” Learn about furs, and skulls of the mammals found in the park. The Park Naturalist will have a table display with one of each throughout the day.

Introduction to Canoeing
Directions: First, go to the park office. Across from the park office, there will be a tent, table, and canoes, as well as handouts and giveaways. Groups will go out every hour, but it's first-come, first-serve as space is limited.

Bluebirds and Pollinators
Join the Friends of Beltzville on a hike to look for bluebirds, as well as a visit to the Friends’ Pollinator Garden, one of their most important volunteer projects. Meet at the Environmental Interpretive Center. No registration needed.

Native Flora Workshop and Potting Party
We’re hosting a Native Flora Workshop and Potting Party at the Tonaquint Nature Center to kick of Latino Conservation Week in St. George! Learn about water conservation and desert-friendly native plant species from a Latinx Greenhouse Manager in southwest Utah. Everyone leaves with your own potted desert plant to brighten your home or yard!

Archery 101 with LL Bean
After brief introductions and a safety talk, you'll receive helpful advice on the proper technique for correctly holding a bow and releasing an arrow for optimal accuracy and precision. With guidance and support from our friendly, expert instructors, you'll practice hitting targets with a recurve bow. Sign up is a must. A maximum of 12 participants are permitted.

Neshaminy Storybook Trail/Sendero de Storybook
A bilingual story leads visitors along the Logan Garden Trail Loop. Come and enjoy this self-guided tour. No registration needed.
El Storybook está en el circuito de Logan Garden Trail. Es un sendero corto y plano detrás de Winks Lane. Una vez que llegues al parque, sigue los postes del sendero. No hace falta registrarse.
Note: the trail’s not on the park’s map yet so the only way to find it is to come to the park behind Wink’s Lane and follow the signs!
