LatinxHikers IG Takeover

Y'all remember last year when a group of us went out with the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and got on the Appalachian Trail to rerouted a small section of it? Well, this year due to COVID-19 we're switching things up a little.⠀⠀

Wherever you are, let's kickstart Latino Conservation Week #LCW2020 by tuning into our stories on Sunday. ⠀⠀

I will be live-streaming this July 19th at 4 PM EST. Following this live-stream, the goal is to get people outside and use social media to bring awareness to the conservancies that maintain and take care of the trails we enjoy. As many of you might know, many of our trails are maintained by organizations that get volunteers to help care for them. ⠀⠀

There will be awesome giveaways for people who choose to participate! (participation guidelines below) We invite you to join us by getting outside, hiking a trail near you, and bringing awareness to your local conservancies!⠀⠀

When? ⠀

Virtual Hike: July 19th @ 4 EST⠀

Participation must be anytime between July 18-26⠀

Where: Any trail you choose⠀⠀

Guidelines:⠀Any time between July 18-26, post your hike on Instagram via stories or posts. Tag your location and @latinxhikers to enter for a chance to win Marmot, Hydro Flask, and Osprey giveaways. We also want hikers to do their research and find out what conservancy or organization cares for the trail they are on with hopes this will inspire people to volunteer at these organizations in the future. You will have to tag the organization on the post/story as well!⠀

DM @latinxhikers on Instagram for more information!
