Fun at the Beach - Diversión en la Playa
Join Friends of the Bay for a morning of fun activities at the beach in Oyster Bay.
The beach activities will take place at the WaterFront Center and will include seining and a marsh scavenger hunt.
A Spanish/ English translator will be available during the activity.
This event is free and open to people of all ages.

La Semana Latina de la Conservación se trata más que la naturaleza; es una celebración de la herencia, identidad y liderazgo latino en la preservación de nuestro entorno compartido.
Acompáñanos este domingo a las 7:00 a.m. a una caminata familiar e intergeneracional en el icónico Mount Rubidoux en Riverside para celebrar la Semana Latina de la Conservación 2026. Bajo el lema Rooted in Nature, Thriving in Community, nos reuniremos al aire libre para disfrutar del entorno natural, fortalecer nuestros lazos comunitarios y reflexionar sobre la importancia de proteger nuestros espacios verdes y bosques locales. Durante el recorrido, conversaremos en un ambiente familiar y accesible sobre la iniciativa 30x30 de California, la justicia ambiental y cómo las familias de Riverside pueden convertirse en guardianas activas de nuestras tierras públicas. El evento es 100% gratuito e incluirá hidratación, fruta/refrigerios y materiales educativos para niños y adultos.

Join us this Sunday at 7:00 a.m. for a family-friendly, intergenerational hike at the iconic Mount Rubidoux in Riverside to celebrate Latino Conservation Week 2026. Aligned with the theme Rooted in Nature, Thriving in Community, we will gather outdoors to enjoy nature, strengthen community ties, and highlight the importance of protecting our local forests and green spaces. Throughout the hike, we will discuss in an accessible, family-oriented setting California's 30x30 conservation goals, environmental justice, and how Riverside families can act as stewards of our public lands. This event is 100% free and will provide hydration, fresh fruit/snacks, and educational materials for all ages.

Bike Ride / Paseo en Bicicleta
Celebrate Latine Conservation Week with a family-friendly bike ride! We will meet at the Swan Creek Dog Park parking lot. The event will begin at 11am with bicycle safety checks with Toros Cycling Club as well as a couple resource tables to visit. The bike ride will begin at 12pm and we will ride through the paved trails at Swan Creek for no more than six miles total.
Volunteer Cheeseboro Canyon Restoration
Join the National Park Service and the Santa Monica Mountains Fund at Cheeseboro Canyon to help restore the area with California native plants!
Disclaimer: If temperatures are above 90℉ or a Red Flag Warning is issued, the event will be canceled. Thank you for your understanding.
Work will consist of planting hundreds of live plants grown from locally collected seed. Our goal for this restoration project is to establish a biodiverse native ecosystem in areas that have historically been grazed. This activity is appropriate for ages 5 and up. No experience required!
The event will run from 9 am to 12 pm.

¡Acompañe al Servicio de Parques Nacionales y a Santa Monica Mountains Fund en Cheeseboro Canyon para ayudar a restaurar las montañas con plantas nativas de California!
Aviso: Si las temperaturas superan los 90 °F o se emite una Alerta de Bandera Roja (Red Flag Warning), el evento será cancelado. Gracias por su comprensión.
Las actividades consistirán en plantar cientos de plantas nativas cultivadas de semillas recolectadas localmente. El objetivo de este proyecto de restauración es establecer un ecosistema nativo y diverso en áreas que históricamente han sido utilizadas para el pastoreo. Esta actividad es apropiada para personas de 5 años en adelante. ¡No se requiere experiencia previa!

Join us for a morning outdoors where we’ll explore our connection to the land, wildlife, and the Colorado River. We’ll have guided walks, activities for the family, opportunities to learn about tree care, and time to connect with our community and nature.
What we offer: Free & family-friendly event, restroom access, snacks, water, and non-alcoholic beverages.
What to bring: Come with comfortable clothes, mosquito repellent, and closed shoes to participate in the activities. Please bring refillable water bottles.

Latino Conservation Week comes alive under the valley oaks with music, food, and hands-on discovery for the whole family. Build a soil filter and watch water move through it, decorate rocks, dig into a Leave No Trace scavenger hunt, and stop by community tables sharing everything from environmental health resources to upcoming outdoor adventures. Sierra Linda Ballet Folklórico takes the stage, giant Connect 4 and cornhole keep the games going, and tacos and aguas frescas keep everyone fueled. Free and open to all ages. Bring the whole family, and spend the afternoon celebrating the land and water that connect this valley’s communities.
