Familias Empoderadas will host a bilingual outdoor wellness experience at a local public park, inviting Latino families to reconnect with nature through mindful movement, environmental education, and community reflection. Participants will take part in a guided nature walk, learn about the health and environmental benefits of California's public lands, and experience a DanzaCura healing movement session inspired by the elements of nature.

Join IERCD and Hispanic Access Foundation for a community celebration at Louis Robidoux Parkland and Pecan Grove! Participants will help collect native milkweed seeds for future monarch habitat restoration, learn about local plants and wildlife, and take part in hands-on activities that celebrate community stewardship and connection to the land.

“Cafecito & Conservation,” will be a bilingual community gathering. Here participants will learn about Wisconsin’s city and state parks and trails, conservation efforts, farming and agricultural culture, and opportunities to enjoy and protect local natural spaces and foster a sense of belonging and leadership. The event will also highlight connections between Latino cultural traditions and Wisconsin culture, recognizing shared values around land, food, agriculture, family, and community.

Nature Unidos is a free, family-friendly celebration that highlights the beauty of Latino culture and the importance of equitable access to the outdoors. This is our 2nd year bringing together families, community leaders, and nature lovers for an unforgettable event at the Trinity River Audubon Center.

El Día del Arroyo es un evento comunitario de restauración de cuencas hidrográficas basado en el voluntariado que el Alpine Watershed Group ha estado coordinando desde 2001. Este importante evento nos ayuda a llevar a cabo proyectos de salud ambiental, tales como la instalación de estacas de sauce, la recolección de basura, la eliminación de malezas invasoras, el control de problemas de erosión, la protección de álamos y otros proyectos ecológicos.

El Día del Arroyo reúne a docenas de voluntarios que se dividen para trabajar en varios proyectos, cada uno con un líder capacitado en el sitio que cuenta con las herramientas y suministros necesarios.

Spend an afternoon with us at the nature park and discover what it takes to be a nature superhero! We will have activities for the whole family to enjoy!

The Tualatin Hills Nature Center is partnering with local Latine-owned businesses and organizations to host a FREE party in celebration of Latino Conservation Week and Welcoming Week. We will have a Live band, DJ, Food Vendor (first 100 people will get a voucher to spend), a raffle with great prizes, guided hikes, crafts and so much more.

Pasen una tarde divertida en el parque natural y descubre lo que se necesita para ser un superhéroe de la naturaleza! Tendremos actividades para toda la familia. 

El Tualatin Hills Nature Center se está asociando con varias empresas latinas y diferentes organizaciones locales para organizar una fiesta GRATUITA en celebración de Latino Conservation Week y la Semana de Bienvenida. Tendremos Group en vivo, DJ, comida (las primeras 50 personas obtendrán un bono), rifa con buenos premios, caminatas guiadas, manualidades y mucho más!

Join Sierra Nevada Alliance and Luis Rubio on this day of adventure in celebration of Latino Conservation Week! Participants in this bilingual event can expect a day full of adventure, learning, and community. Scheduled activities for the day include rafting, a picnic, and a guided hike around Donner Lake. Are you a first-time rafter!? No problem! Experienced staff will guide the experience. Expect to raft for 45-60 minutes while learning about the history of Donner Lake Memorial State Park and its importance to California and U.S. history. During the guided hike, you will travel on a relatively flat path around the lake, learning about historical uses of native plants, trees, and mushrooms, or you can remain at the picnic area for community-building games and activities.

This is a free, family-friendly event meant to combine community, adventure, and education! Lunch will be provided. Parking will be free. Tickets are very limited, so please only reserve if you are definitely joining us (one ticket per person). Waivers must be signed on the day of the event to participate. Register here.
