Latino Conservation Celebration Day at Fire Island

Event Description:

Join the Friends of Fire Island National Seashore for a day of family fun as we celebrate Latino Conservation Week at Watch Hill!

Meet at Patchogue Watch Hill Ferry Terminal (150 West Ave) to embark on the ferry to Watch Hill. There will be a lifeguarded beach & Sandy Salty Soccer throughout the day. A Lifeguard Surf Rescue Demonstration will be held on the beach at 11 AM. A ranger led Canoe Tour will take place at 11 AM. **Space is limited and reservations are taken on a first come first serve basis starting at 10 AM** From 10:30 AM – 1 PM Seaside Story Time & Crafts will be taking place at the Dune Station – we will have a bilingual reading of Joel Harper’s “All the Way to the Ocean”. At 2 PM Catch of the Day/Marine Seining will occur **water shoes recommended** \

Return Ferries are available at:
10:45AM, 12:45PM, 2:30PM, 4:15PM, 6:30PM


NOTE: The price reflects that of a round-trip ferry ticket - all activities are free
