Redwood Hike: Hiouchi Trail, Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park

Event Description:

Join EPIC for a Redwood hike through Hiouchi Trail in Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. This hike will meander through an enchanting forest landscape watched over by towering giants. The stunning old growth and pristine Smith River along the Hiouchi Trail makes it one of the most beautiful places on the North Coast. This 3 mile loop is well-maintained trail and designed to be accessible to almost anyone. Please come prepared with water and hiking shoes, as well as swimming gear so that you can fully enjoy the Wild and Scenic Smith River. Meet-up is at the EPIC office in Arcata, located at 145 G Street, Suite A, at 10 a.m. Space is limited, so PLEASE register. All hikes in our series will be bilingual—providing interpretation in both English and Spanish. There is a strict NO DOGS rule in place for all our Redwood Hikes series, so please leave your companions at home.

Unase con EPIC y Latino Outdoors para una caminata de secoyas entre Hiouchi Trail en Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. Esta caminata serpenteara a través de un encantador paisaje forestal entre árboles gigantes. El impresionante bosque primario y el río prístino a lo largo del sendero Hiouchi Trail es lo que convierte este paisaje en uno de los lugares más bellos de la Costa Norte. Este sendero circular de 3 millas es un camino bien mantenido y diseñado para ser accesible para casi cualquier persona. Por favor venga preparado con agua y calzado apropiado y traje de baño para disfrutar el Smith River. Nos vamos unir en la oficina de EPIC en 145 G Street Arcata Suite A a las 10am.
