Making a New Home: The Founding of Latino D.C.

Event Description:

Starting from our joint table at the Farmer`s Market and ending at CARECEN (Central American Resource Center) Ranger Mike Balis will give a program entitled "Making a New Home: The Founding of Latino D.C." It will cover the many challenges Latinos overcame to build their community within the nation`s capital from the 1960s through the 1980s. Ranger Carlos De La Torre will translate the program into Spanish.
