Science & Nature Journaling at Mower Reservoir

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

Latino Outdoors Colorado and the Butterfly Pavilion are teaming up to host Science & Nature Journaling at Mower Reservoir where we will conduct a biological survey of the area and use nature journals to record what we see. This event welcomes individuals and families of all ages, but 10 years and older is ideal for the programming.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING:

During the week before the event, you will receive another email with more instructions on preparing for the event, including the location where we will meet.

If you cannot attend, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing bianca.mm@latinooutdoors.org or texting 240-505-6251. Spots for this event are limited.

Language Accessibility Disclosure:

As a volunteer-led chapter of Latino Outdoors, we rely on the language skill sets of our volunteers and partners. Due to limited capacity and funding, we are not able to provide consistent multilingual, Spanish-language programming, or other Native languages. As an organization, we value transparency and Language Justice, and we want to make sure that our participants are aware of what to expect at each event. The programming for this event will be in English and there will be formal Spanish interpretation integrated into the event.

The programming for this event will be:

  • Programming Language: English only
  • Available Interpretation: Minimal interpretation
  • Volunteer Language Proficiency: Modesta McGrath-Martínez - Conversational Spanish and fluent in English, Emma Galofré Garcia - Conversational Spanish and fluent in English, Shiran Hershcovich - Fluent in English and Spanish

Regardless of your language abilities, you are welcomed at this event and we will do our best to work with you. The intention of this disclosure is to create better transparency on what to expect during your program.
