Event Description:
September 15th 3 pm - 4:30 pm
Moss Landing, CA
Join us for a special birding and boating trip on the Monterey Bay Eco Tours electric catamaran as we celebrate Latino Conservation Week and California Biodiversity Week on September 15th from 3 PM to 4:30 PM. Latino Conservation Week is a vital time to recognize and uplift the contributions of the Latino community in environmental stewardship. In addition to enjoying the natural beauty of the Elkhon Slough, we will be conducting a BioBlitz-an exciting opportunity to document and collect data on the different bird species we observe, including the number of each species. This event not only highlights the importance of environmental conservation but also contributes to California Biodiversity Week, emphasizing the need to protect our state's incredible biodiversity.
Know before you go:
• It is always best to dress in layers, as the weather can change drastically on our beautiful California coast.
• There is no need to worry about seasickness as the Elkhorn Slough is completely calm and our boat is an extremely stable platform.
• Our boat leaves as scheduled so please be sure to arrive 20 minutes early. Restrooms are available on board. Binoculars will be provided.
