Stargazing at The Great Bend of The Gila

Event Description:

This is a stargazing event that will be held at Painted Rock Petroglyph Campsite.

We will discuss The Great Bend of the Gila proposed national monument, the history of the Painted Rock, hear from Dark Sky Alliance about light pollution, we’ll also be providing opportunities to use telescopes and a walk through of the desert night sky. 
Snacks and a light dinner will be provided.

Be prepared to drive through unpaved rocky roads.
Bring your camping chairs, water bottle, and flashlights.
