Event Description:

Join Peques Nature Club for a bilingual (Spanish/English) trail riding bike adventure in the Boise Foothills. Families and peques (kids) can choose from two ability tracks available. This is a great opportunity for tweens to hang out. Caregivers are welcome to join and bring their bikes & helmets. Invite your friends and familia to a Tour de Bicicletas!  

Ages and Skill Level: Peques must be able to use a pedal bike, but other than that we don’t have a minimum age requirement. 

• For ages 7+ they will have the opportunity to ride a bike with tour guide Andrew, who will share different skills needed when going down hill, using breaks, etc. We will also discuss bike safety before heading to the bike trail. 

• For ages below 7 and for those that choose to not bike, they can ride around a more accessible bike trail, hang around the shade, and/or enjoy a snack! 

What to Bring: Please bring your own bikes, helmets and closed-toed shoes. Water, snacks, sunscreen, blanket, anything you may need to feel comfortable.

Accessibility: Trails selected will be easy with minimal to moderate hills that will be accessible to all peques participating. Trails may be narrow for a portion of the ride with limited visibility to others around the corner but there will be plenty of adults to guide the way. They are shared trails so we will get to practice how to share the trails with our community.

Acompañe a Peques Nature Club en una aventura bilingüe (español/inglés) en bicicleta por los senderos de las colinas de Boise Foothills. Las familias y los "peques" (niños y niñas) pueden elegir entre dos rutas disponibles según su nivel de habilidad. Esta es una gran oportunidad para que los adolescentes pasen un buen rato. Los adultos a su cargo también son bienvenidos a participar, y traer sus bicicletas y cascos. ¡Inviten a sus amigos y familiares al Tour de Bicicletas! 

Edad y Nivel de Habilidad: Los peques deben ser capaces de montar en bicicleta con pedales, pero no tenemos un requisito de edad mínima. 

• Los mayores de 7 años podrán montar en bicicleta con nuestro guía Andrew, quien enseñará varias habilidades necesarias para bajar colinas, como usar los frenos, etc. Y también hablaremos de la seguridad de la bicicleta antes de comenzar el recorrido. 
• Los menores de 7 años y aquellos que elijan no ir en bicicleta, recorrerán un sendero más accesible, descansarán a la sombra y disfrutarán de un bocadillo. 

Qué Debe Traer: Traigan sus propias bicicletas, cascos y zapatillas cerradas. Agua, tentempiés, protector solar, una manta y cualquier cosa que necesiten para estar cómodo.

Accesibilidad: Los senderos seleccionados serán fáciles con colinas de nivel mínimo a moderado, accesibles para todos los "peques" participantes. Los senderos serán estrechos en algunas partes con visibilidad limitada en las curvas, pero habrá muchos adultos que harán de guía en el recorrido. Son senderos compartidos, así que aprenderemos a cómo compartir los senderos con nuestra comunidad.
