Event Description:

Conservation Opportunity is excited to collaborate with Finca Semila, LLC. in an inclusive event for the deaf community called "Señando Cacao'', translated to "Signing Cocoa'' in English. This event will occur on July 16, 2022, at Finca Semila, Barceloneta, Puerto Rico (PR). Its main goal is to encourage the deaf community to learn and participate in the beauty of an agroforestry development on the island.

Conservation Opportunity (CO) is a non-profit organization incorporated in Puerto Rico that connects people to opportunities related to environmental conservation. Finca Semila, LLC. is an agricultural corporation destined to guide and educate the public in the art of sowing and growing agro-sustainable grounds. Finca Semila’s objective is to engage Puerto Ricans in the importance of local production and its benefits within conservation. 

This summer, Finca Semila and CO will collaborate in the event that will be part of the Latino Conservation Week initiatives, integrating science, education, fieldwork, and the basis of maintaining an agro-sustainable farm.
