Join Ventana Wildlife Society for FREE nature activities at our Youth Activity Tent! Open to anyone visiting the farmer's market. No registration necessary - activites will be led by bi-lingual staff.
Elkhorn Slough Family Eco Tour
Join Ventana Wildlife Society for a FREE guided Eco Tour of the Elkhorn Slough! This program is for the community of East Salinas. Transportation is included and the program will be led by bi-lingual staff. No experience required, all ages are welcome. Space is limited and reservations are required.
Youth Nature Outing to the Beach
Join Ventana Wildlife Society for FREE nature outing to Moss Landing! This program is for North County youth ages 8-12. Transportation is included and the program will be led by bi-lingual staff. Space is limited and reservations are required.
Family Kayak Tour
Join Ventana Wildlife Society for a FREE guided kayak tour in the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary! This program is for the community surrounding La Paz Middle School in Salinas. Transportation is included and the program will be led by bi-lingual staff. No experience required, families with children ages 8 and older are welcome. Space is limited and reservations are required.
Hike & Discada
Optional morning hike to La Cueva and then a Discada cookout afterwards with other activities!
Free Event! Friends of the Organ Mountains will be covering parking!

A garden adventure for young children and their families! Learn and Play nature activities and crafts, family yoga, and a community cookout at the Floreciente Community Garden. Join us for a family engagement fair from 9:00-11:00 and a community cookout from 11:30-1:00, serving flautas, burgers, and hot dogs.

Outdoor Fitness FREE community event. Families are encouraged to attend!
Meet a Beekeeper!
Meet a beekeeper! Join us for a brief intro-level conversation with local beekeeper Melinda Jean Stafford. Let's chat about why we need bees, why they need us, and how we can BEE friends. Honey tasting and on-site parking available. Please RSVP ahead of time to get a head count of participants. ADA accessible. Appropriate for all ages as it will be interactive and engaging.
