We invite all Los Angeles residents to delve into the magical realm of local sages, including Salvia chiapensis, Salvia mellifera, and Salvia leucophylla. This event is designed to engage all your senses as you discover these extraordinary plants' unique scents, vibrant colors, and diverse textures.

Participants will enjoy a guided hike through Ascot Hills Park, uncovering its rich history and conservation efforts. Additionally, join us for a wellness workshop to learn how to incorporate native plants into your daily life for health and sustainability. We’ve lost one of our box turtles! Can you help us find him? We’re sure he’s around here somewhere. He's left clues to where he's been. If we follow the clues, we are sure to find him and bring him back safely. Please help! Participate in a fun scavenger hunt on the grounds of Brookside Nature Center. This activity should take under an hour. Adults and children must register.

Esta Semana de Conservación Latina, trae a toda la familia a HawkWatch International para Historias con Halcones. ¡Leeremos juntos un libro divertido sobre aves y conoceremos una de nuestras aves rapaces en vivo como la de la historia! Después de la hora del cuento, puedes tomarte fotos con nuestras aves, jugar algunos juegos divertidos, y conocer a otros amantes de la naturaleza de habla hispana. Esperamos que nos acompañen y traigan a sus amigos.

This Latino Conservation Week, bring the whole family to HawkWatch International for Reading with Raptors. We will read a fun book about birds together and meet a live raptor ambassador just like the one in the story! After storytime, you can take photos with the bird, play some fun games, and meet other Spanish-speaking nature lovers. We hope you’ll join us and bring your friends.

On this bilingual walk, participants will learn about the birds, argue about what different animals are properly called in our countries — cocodrilo or lagarto? — and enjoy new friendships. Audubon Florida and Orange Audubon are sponsoring this free event honoring Latino Conservation Week.

Meet in the parking lot of Orlando Wetlands at 9 a.m. Bring sun protection and comfortable walking shoes. Trail is mostly packed sand/dirt.

Únase a Busch Wildlife Sanctuary para celebrar la Semana Latina de la Conservación con programas educativos en español el Sábado 14 de Septiembre. ¡También habrá juegos de jardín y otras exhibiciones interactivas de aprendizaje para que disfruten todos los miembros de la comunidad! Busch Wildlife Sanctuary está abierto de 10 a. m. a 4:30 p. m. a diario. La entrada es por donación.

¡Celebremos el fin de la temporada de la cosecha en comunidad con deliciosa comida! Acompáñanos a la tercera presentación de este año de nuestro programa Sabores de Mi Patria. Presentada en asociación con Artes de México en Utah, este taller será completamente en español, con traducción al inglés según sea necesario.
