This is a free event which will include a 20-minute talk about pollination and several species of pollinators that live on Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge. There will be an emphasis on Monarch butterflies, which are an important part of the ecosystem at Muscatatuck. The talk will discuss the importance of these pollinators for wildlands, other animals, and for the plants they help pollinate as well as their importance for humans as they provide a great economic service.

After the talk, there will be a crafts activity for children and families (something relatively contactless such as coloring a pre-cut monarch butterfly mask). A free lunch will also be provided.

The event will take place outside in the parking lot of Muscatatuck NWR's Visitor Center to accommodate for COVID restrictions.

Hike from the Visitor Center to Cemetery Ridge where fighting raged on July 2 & 3, 1863. Get an overview of the battle, visit the site of Pickett's Charge, and walk in the footsteps of the men who struggled there. Meet at Ranger Site 1 - behind the museum & Visitor Center
