Una experiencia única: Una caminata nocturna en la playa para observar el proceso de anidación de una tortuga marina.

Una caminata guiada es un programa único que les permite a nuestros visitantes aprender y observar el proceso de anidación de las tortugas marinas. Con la aprobación de permisos estatales, los observadores de Loggerhead Marinelife Center patrullan la playa de Juno Beach para buscar a las tortugas mientras los visitantes disfrutan de una presentación informativa. El evento será de 9:00 p.m. a 12:00 a.m.
Este año estaremos participando en Latino Conservation Week 2022: Una iniciativa de Hispanic Access Foundation, creada para apoyar la participación de la comunidad Latina en actividades al aire libre y actividades que ayuden a proteger nuestros recursos naturales. Nuestra participación será una presentación en español gratuita. Para esta actividad solamente podemos acomodar a 30 participantes, que tendrán que registrarse en línea. El link para registrarse es:

Los niños deberán ser mayores de 10 años para poder asistir y todos los participantes deben poder caminar en la playa. (Contamos con silla de ruedas para playa).
No existe ninguna relación entre la actividad de anidación de una tortuga marina con la fase de la luna, el tiempo o la marea. Todas las noches tenemos la misma probabilidad de ver una tortuga aunque no podemos garantizar que veremos una esa noche.

Take a once in a lifetime walk with sea turtles.

A Turtle Walk is a unique program that allows our visitors to learn about and observe the nesting and egg-laying process of sea turtles. With the approval of State issued permits, experienced Loggerhead Marinelife Center scouts will patrol our designated section of Juno Beach searching for sea turtles while visitors enjoy an informative presentation on the plight of sea turtles. This event will be from 9:00 p.m. -12:00 a.m.
This year we will be participating in Latino Conservation Week 2022: A Hispanic Access Foundation initiative created to support the Latino community getting into the outdoors and participating in activities to protect our natural resources. We will offer a free Turtle Walk in Spanish. We can only accommodate 30 people. Children must be 10 years or older to attend walks and all participants must be able to walk up to half a mile. There is no relationship between sea turtle nesting activity and the phase of the moon, the weather, or the tides. All nights have the same odds of the group seeing a sea turtles, however it is not guaranteed.

Educational Hike on the Rocky Peak Trail
Come join SUWA and HEAL Utah for an educational hike along the Rocky Peak Trail in the Three Peaks Recreation Area. We will be exploring the topics of conservation of the nearby Antelope Mountain Range, conservation and its close links with Latinx culture and heritage, as well as explore the history of the nearby Old Spanish National Historic Trail. The hike is an easy to moderate trail and will take approximately an hour and a half to two hours. A dual-sided brochure about the covered topics will be provided in Spanish and English to help drive conversation and camaraderie. Let's get out on the trail, together!
Latino Conservation Week Kick-Off Fiesta!
Come celebrate the start of Latino Conservation Week! We will have local food trucks, Zumba from 6 pm to 7 pm, local organizations sharing resources, activities for all ages, and once the sun starts to set the encanto will begin! We will be showing Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection “Maryland Climate Stories” followed by Disney’s Encanto at 8:00 pm on the big screen for all to enjoy, guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and picnic blankets for viewing.

Tendremos camiones de comida locales, Zumba de 6 pm a 7 pm, organizaciones locales compartiendo recursos, actividades para todas las edades, y una vez que el sol comience a bajar, ¡comenzará el encanto! Paletas Y Pinturas
Yosemite National Park is proud to host a Latino Conservation Week event on July 16, 2022 from 2pm to 4pm at Swinging Bridge Picnic Area. Visitors are invited to participate in a ranger lead leaf printing activity with ice cream. All ages are welcome to participate. The program will be bilingual and the ranger will talk about the park’s resources, some history and answer any questions. At the end of the program the participants will be able to snack on some paletas. All supplies will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring any shirts or reusable canvas bags to leaf print on. Supplies will be first-come first-served.
A reservation is required to drive into or through Yosemite National Park from 6 am to 4 pm daily. A reservation for Yosemite National Park will be required to attend event unless arriving before or after peak hours (6 am - 4pm).

Join the Monarcas on a bilingual guided hike highlighting pollinator plants and milkweed for butterflies!
SAMO Fund's Mission Monarch will be leading a bilingual guided hike with discussion about different pollinator plants found throughout the trail.
Expect an easy hike, but please bring at least two liters of water per person and sun protection (hat, sunscreen, long sleeve shirt/pants).
Get free milkweed to plant and attract monarch butterflies to your space after the event!
The event will take place July 16, 2022 from 9am-12pm. Meet at the Trailhead to Harmon Canyon and sign in at the Santa Monica Mountains (SAMO) Fund booth for a brief safety talk prior to the hike.
Dia de Conservación Ecologica / Day of Conservation Canoe Clean up!
Help us kick off Latino Conservation Week with a day of preserving and protecting our native habitats. If the weather and water conditions are right, we will send out a canoe team to clean trash from the pristine water of the Armand Bayou and along the nearby banks. If a water clean up is not possible, we will plan to head into the riparian forest to perform much needed maintenance along our trails. // Ayúdanos a iniciar Latino Conservation Week con un día de conservación para preservar y proteger nuestros hábitats nativos. Si el clima permita, enviaremos un equipo de canoas para limpiar basura del agua prístina del Armand Bayou y de las orillas cercanas. Si no podemos limpiar por canoa, planearemos ir al bosque ribereño a mantener nuestros senderos.
8:30 AM Canoe Cleanup or Trail Maintenance (4hrs, 10 max): Participants will join volunteers and staff for a cleanup of our waterway by canoe or trail maintenance depending on the weather. They will begin with a safety talk and a 10 minute interpretive talk. Age 16+
