Neshaminy Storybook Trail/Sendero de Storybook

A bilingual story leads visitors along the Logan Garden Trail Loop. Come and enjoy this self-guided tour. No registration needed.

El Storybook está en el circuito de Logan Garden Trail. Es un sendero corto y plano detrás de Winks Lane. Una vez que llegues al parque, sigue los postes del sendero. No hace falta registrarse.

William Penn Forest Storybook Walk

Enjoy the (bilingual) “Smokey Bear Story” as you stroll in the William Penn’s Gibraltar Tract. The storybook trail is on natural dirt surface and may be muddy when wet.  It is not very suitable for strollers, but children able to walk a mile should have no trouble.  The last part of the loop trail beyond the end of the story is more challenging, steeper and rougher, with rocks and uneven surface. If you don’t desire such a challenge just return the way you came. No registration required.

Directions:

One parking lot is at the State Forest gate at 18 Killian Drive, Birdsboro, PA 19508 and will accommodate about 5 vehicles.

From there follow the signs down the steps to the SRT and turn left. Walk about 1/2 mile to the start of the story in the woods on the left. The total loop is about 1 mile long.

The second parking lot is the Angstadt Lane trailhead along Route 724 near the PDOT facility at Angstadt Lane. This lot will accommodate 18 cars.

From the Angstadt Trailhead cross Route 724 and walk southeast on the SRT approximately ¼ mile to the start of the story in the woods on the Right. The total loop from the Angstadt Trailhead is about 1.5 miles.
