Experience the color and fun of kites flying along the Berkeley waterfront! Have you been wanting to give kite flying a try, but don’t want to go by yourself? Or maybe you don’t own a kite? Well, Saved By Nature has you covered once again! We are excited to invite you to our seventh Dock of the Bay event happening Saturday, July 15th! Come by yourself or bring the family out for kite flying, lunch and a leisurely walk through one of the Bay Area's best-known places to fly a kite in the East Bay. The wind is plentiful, the space is expansive, and the views are incredible.

Join us for a vibrant plant walk at Alley Pond Park in celebration of Latino Conservation Week! Discover the rich biodiversity of Alley Pond Park with the guidance of Jocelyn Perez-Blanco, our knowledgeable and bilingual guide. English and translation assistance will be available to ensure everyone can fully participate. Immerse yourself in the natural wonders of the park as Jocelyn shares fascinating insight about local plants, their traditional uses, and importance of conservation. This event aims to foster a deeper connection to nature and promote conservation awareness within the Latino community. It's an opportunity to learn, engage, and appreciate the natural world together. Registration required as spots are limited.

¡Descubre, aprende y contribuye a la conservación de la naturaleza con nosotros! Te invitamos a una caminata única y educativa en el Bosque Split Oak, donde podremos disfrutar de la belleza de nuestra naturaleza local y aprender sobre su diversidad de flora y fauna.
Durante esta caminata, te animamos a utilizar la aplicación iNaturalist, una herramienta innovadora que nos permite aprender más sobre las especies que encontraremos en nuestro camino y contribuir a la ciencia ciudadana aportando observaciones de la vida silvestre. Esta información es crucial para proteger y preservar el bosque amenazado de Split Oak.
Nuestro evento pone un enfoque especial en la tortuga gopher, una especie clave para nuestro ecosistema. A través de guías bilingües y materiales educativos, descubrirás la importancia de esta especie y cómo tu participación puede contribuir a su protección.

En el marco de "Latino Conservation Week" los invitamos a participar en nuestro evento !NICHO ECOLÓGICO; Espacio para el aprendizaje ambiental hispano! El mismo, será completamente en español, dirigido para toda la familia hispana (niños, jóvenes y adultos) Allí, a través de un video ecológico propiciaremos el diálogo y reflexión sobre el rol del ciudadano para la conservación de sus ecosistemas locales, la importancia de la conservación de los cuerpos de agua y lo que representa los mismos para nuestra salud. La actividad incluye dinámicas educativas para niños y adultos.

Come join us for the exciting "Junior Ranger Thursday" event! This special event is designed for children and young people who are passionate about nature and outdoor life. Together we will explore the fascinating world of park rangers and learn about the importance of protecting our national wildlife refuges and natural areas. There will be interactive activities, including archery.
The fun will begin on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 6550 Gateway Road, Commerce City, CO 80022. Activities take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour, and can run between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.
¡Ven y únete a nosotros en el emocionante evento "Jueves de Guardaparque Junior"! Este evento especial está diseñado para niños y jóvenes apasionados por la naturaleza y la vida al aire libre.
