Community Tree Planting
Join Detroit Hives on September 12, 2027, for a special Community Tree Planting Event in celebration of Latino Conservation Week! Hosted at the East Warren Community Arboretum & Botanical Garden in Detroit’s 48214 community, this hands-on event brings residents, families, volunteers, and community partners together to plant trees, grow neighborhood green space, and strengthen our collective connection to nature.
Through community-powered conservation, participants will help create a greener, healthier, and more welcoming neighborhood while learning about the importance of trees, biodiversity, environmental stewardship, and urban conservation. The event is designed to expand access to nature and environmental education while creating meaningful opportunities for Latino families and residents throughout Detroit to participate in shaping the future of their communities.
Together, we’re not just planting trees—we’re planting roots, growing community, and creating a greener Detroit for generations to come.
Come plant with us and Bee the Change! ??
