Fall Migration Bird Banding at Cuyahoga Valley National Park
Join us for a free, family-friendly bilingual bird program to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day and Latino Conservation Week. Every fall, millions of birds move through Cuyahoga Valley National Park as they journey down to Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America to spend the winter. Watch as park biologists band and collect important scientific data on live, migratory birds. You will have a close and personal experience with birds. We will also have cafecito, migration games, and conversations about conservation. The second session may see less birds than the first because birds are more active in the morning.
*All birds are handled and banded by professionals under a federally authorized Bird Banding Permit issued by the U.S. Geological Survey Bird Banding Laboratory. Birds are released unharmed after data is collected.
