Join us to celebrate

Latino Conservation Week by enjoying a hike in California’s newest state park. Dos Rios State Park. Together we will discover the history and biodiversity of the pond and beautiful floodplain forest. 6 years of age or older are invited to attend. 2 Mile Hike and food served in a community atmosphere. 

Please join Salinas Pride, Natividad, and the Salinas Regional Soccer Complex for a morning walk around the Salinas Regional Soccer Complex with Dr. Ana Abril Arias at 9am. This is a great opportunity to get some steps in and meet new people in a welcoming environment. People of all fitness levels welcome!

The arrival of fall and its colorful tree canopy can give us comfort.  At the same time, change is always hard! The seasonal transition requires that we adapt to cooler and darker months, when we’ll spend more time indoors. Practicing mindfulness with the help of trees, other plants, and wildlife during this transitional period can help us find resilience and beauty in change. Join Claudia Linares and Sarah Low at Swan Creek Park and take home some mindfulness strategies for the season ahead.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and join us on October 9 from 5 to 6:30 pm for an evening with one of our 2024 Naturally Latinos speakers María Elena Montero at Woodend Nature Sanctuary. María Elena is an expert bird guide and yoga teacher who will start off the walk with some gentle yoga moves before being led into the woods for a bird walk exploration with two of our Nature Forward Naturalist, Genevieve Wall and Gina Ghertner. We will come back to Woodend mansion grounds to do some more sunset yoga and wrap up eating bocaditos (snacks). RSVP using this button below (limit to 70 people).

Invasive Management Area Program-Invasive Plant Clean-Up in Spanish at Lake Accotink Park
