Green Drinks with Mountain Mamas
Mountain Mamas is a dynamic network of mothers committed to protecting our air, water, climate, and public lands for future generations. Guided by a deep commitment to organizing, inspiring, and activating moms across the Rocky Mountains and beyond, Mountain Mamas champions environmental advocacy through storytelling, policy engagement, and community connection. Together, we work to ensure that families, especially those most impacted have a seat at the table in environmental decision-making.
On Thursday, September 18, join Arizona Program Manager, Selina Barajas, as a guest speaker for Green Drinks Tucson, a monthly happy hour for conservationists and community members to hang out, network, and exchange ideas. These gatherings are open to anyone who shares an interest in conservation and the environment, so bring a friend or two! This event is free and open to all.

Nuestra Tierra, Nuestro Futuro: 5 Year Anniversary Gala
Nuestra Tierra, Nuestro Futuro: 5 Year Anniversary Gala
?️ Buy Tickets: nuestra-tierra.org/pages/gala
Nuestra Tierra Conservation Project is excited to host our very first gala, Nuestra Tierra, Nuestro Futuro, celebrating five years of community, culture, and conservation. This evening is about honoring the people, stories, places, and milestones that have shaped Nuestra Tierra since day one.
As we celebrate five years of community-driven conservation, we cannot ignore the dire urgency of this moment. The current administration is threatening to strip away hard-won protections for public lands — opening them up to private interests and erasing the histories, rights, and access of the very communities Nuestra Tierra was created to uplift. This is not just about conservation; it’s about justice, about sovereignty, and about ensuring our children still have wild places to roam. Your support of Nuestra Tierra, Nuestro Futuro is not only a celebration — it is a frontline act of resistance.
Join us Friday, September 26th to defend what is sacred and keep our lands in the hands of the people. Celebrate with an evening full of joy, dancing, connection, and movement-building as we envision the next five years of community-centered conservation.

Tree Planting
Thank You for volunteering at our Tree Planting at The Heights.
Volunteers will transplant large shade trees from containers, prepare their roots, and plant them into the ground. If time allows, volunteers will also assist with staking and attaching slow-drip watering bags.
? Why This Matters
Great River Greening is partnering with St Paul Port Authority and Habitat for Humanity to bring a robust tree canopy to their new, unfolding residential development in East St Paul called The Heights. A healthy tree canopy was one of the top requests expressed by local community members who were engaged to provide feedback about The Heights.
Join us to make this communal vision a reality by planting large canopy shade trees throughout the area.
?️ No Experience Needed. All training will be provided on-site. No prior knowledge is necessary! The site will be bare and flat.
✅ Registration
Please register through GivePulse. Once registered, you’ll receive event details and reminders as the date approaches.
? What to Bring
- A reusable water bottle (water and hearty snacks will be provided)
- Work/gardening gloves (if you have them; otherwise, they’ll be provided)
? Safety Guidelines
Your safety is our top priority. Please: Wear close-toed shoes and long sleeves to protect against ticks and brush. Dress in layers appropriate for the weather. Note: The event will be held rain or shine
?️ Release of Liability
All volunteers release Great River Greening and its employees, officers, directors, or agents from any and all liability arising from participation, except in cases of direct negligence by GRG or its representatives.
