Event Description:

In celebration of Latino Conservation Week, we will be offering a bilingual interpretative hike on the cultural history of Mission Creek Preserve. The preserve sits on ancestral lands of the Serrano & Cahuilla tribes and showcases an incredible diversity of flora and fauna through the meeting of our Sonoran and Mojave deserts. Our group will be walking on relatively flat trails under a hot sun so please come prepared with water, snacks, a hat and/or sunglasses. Please arrive early, carpool is suggested & there are no facilities. RSVP is required due to limited space.

Caminata bilingüe e interpretativa en Mission Creek Preserve

En celebración de Latino Conservation Week, ofreceremos una caminata bilingüe e interpretativa sobre la historia cultural de la reserva de Mission Creek. La reserva se ubica en las tierras ancestrales de los tribus Cahuilla y Serrano y muestra una diversidad increíble de fauna y flora a través de la union de nuestros desiertos Mojave y Sonora. Nuestro grupo caminará un sendero relativamente plano debajo un sol fuerte entonces por favor venga preparado con una botella de agua, botanas, un gorro y/o lentes del sol. Por favor llegue temprano; compartir el vehículo es recomendado y no hay baños ni agua potable. Reservaciones son requeridas por espacio limitado.
