Additional Details

What's TIERRA ARMØN?

TIERRA ARMØN is a social entrepreneurship project created by Alejandro Valdés aka outlier.mp3. The purpose of TIERRA ARMØN is to encourage active community participation, while also hosting very fun events including concerts, dance meetups, wellness workshops, comedy shows, and more!

Who's outlier.mp3?

outlier.mp3 is the artist moniker of Alejandro Valdés, a 24 y/o Bolivian + Chilean American multidisciplinary artist and academic. He has performed in the USA, Costa Rica, Bolivia, and Panama. He won the 2022 Electric Forest Music + Arts Festival Prize Cart Music Producer Remix Contest, has DJd for clubs/parties all over Washington DC including Flash + Twelve After Twelve + DC Bike Party, is an active dancer with the DMV Shuffle Circle, and recently DJd at 2023 Electric Forest as part of a renegade stage hosted by Sweet Sounds Collective. outlier.mp3 loves graphic design as well, and designed a piece for Pigeons and Planes (a subsidiary of Complex) in March 2022 that was used in their Spotify + Soundcloud playlists. He's won his fair share of academic awards and has been involved in all sorts of STEM research, but those aren't as fun as his artistic accomplishments! :) Here's his LinkedIn if you're curious, though:

What's DC Bike Party?

DC Bike Party is a monthly party organized entirely by volunteers. During the summer months, there's an average of 1500 riders. This is the 11th birthday of DC Bike Party, and this month's theme is a Jungle Circus. The DC Bike Party team is also celebrating the life of Dzhoy Zuckerman, a wonderful volunteer with DCBP who passed away a week ago. The flyer was designed by outlier.mp3, and the Lead Planner for this month's ride is Alejandro Valdés. More info:
