Bilingual Salmon Lifecycle Hike below Whiskeytown Dam

Event Description:

Join our bilingual ranger and Fish & Feathers intern and explore the vital stream habitat for the salmon life cycle.

This is an easy-moderate two mile hike overlooking a creek which offers shelter for spawning salmon downstream of the Whiskeytown Dam.

Whiskeytown Lake is nestled among the hills and valleys of the Klamath Mountains in northern California. Expect hot weather. Bring water, sun protection, drinking water and sturdy hiking shoes.
