Facebook Live: ¡Somos lo que comemos / We are what we eat - La Milpa

Event Description:

Join Wasatch Community Gardens and Artes de Mexico en Utah for a live discussion and Q&A about La Milpa and the Three Sisters and how indigeneous people use a cosmological system to relate to nature. We'll also talk about the significance that corn and her "sisters" have in indigeneous cultures.

Fanny Guadalupe Blauer, Artest de Mexico en Utah's Executive Director, and Ana Martinez, Wasatch Community Gardens' School Garden Program Manager, will lead this engaging engaging workshop, which part of the larger Sabores de Mi Patria program. We hope you'll join us!

Acompaños en esta charla en vivo en la que Wasatch Community Gardens y Artes de México en Utah conversarán sobre el legado cultural y sustentable de la Milpa, así como de su valor cosmológico en relación con la naturaleza y como símbolo de identidad en comunidades indígenas. Fanny Guadalupe Blauer, directora ejecutiva de Artes de México en Utah, y Ana Martínez, Coordinadora del programa de huertos escolares de Wasatch Community Gardens, dirigirán esta amena platica como parte del programa Sabores de Mi Patria. ¡Te esperamos!
