This event is to be a 30-40 minute panel discussion that will open up into a 20-30 minute Focused Community Outreach Meeting (FCOM) involving the audience, followed by a 1-hour reception with agency staff from BLM, USFS, NPS, and FWS. The panel discussion will feature key speakers and address a range of topics generally focused around diversity, equity, and inclusion. Hosts will develop specific questions to help guide conversation. After the panel discussion, the audience will be invited to respond to focused questions about their perspectives, priorities, concerns and interest regarding public lands and conservation. Following this formal program, agency staff will be invited to introduce themselves and everyone will be invited to meet and mingle. The aim of the event is to introduce community members to diverse individuals working on a wide range of issues, to share their own perspectives, and get to know agency staff in a casual, unofficial setting.
