Latinas in Conservation: Ask us Anything

Event Description:

Are you looking for a job in conservation or with federal government land management agencies like the Fish and Wildlife Service or the National Park Service? Do you have questions about what the jobs are like? Or how to get started?

Meet park rangers Nancy and Julie, two Latinas who work for the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge Complex in California. During this Facebook Live event you’ll have the opportunity to ask them questions about their jobs, working in the conservation field, and the San Diego NWRC. They’ll share their personal experiences navigating the field as Latinas. They’ll also include information on internships, applying for federal jobs, and other helpful tips.

Go to https://www.facebook.com/SanDiegoRefuges to join us for this event.

You can submit your questions ahead of time to julie_gonzalez@fws.gov or comment on our Facebook post!

The San Diego National Wildlife Refuge Complex incorporates some of the most ecologically diverse areas in Southern California. Visitors can explore in a wide range of educational and recreational opportunities including hiking, biking, bird watching, and kayaking. It is within reach to over 3 million people who reside in the San Diego County, many of whom are Latinx.
