Event Description:Join the National Park Service and Community Nature Connection to restore habitat by watering, removing weeds, and mulching around native plantings recently installed as part of post-fire recovery in the area after the devastating effects of the Woolsey fire. Taking care of native species planted in this burned area will enhance the natural post-fire recovery in the area in the Santa Monica Mountains. Please come prepared with sturdy shoes or boots, pants and long-sleeves, reusable water bottle, and sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses). Gloves, tools, and water refills will be provided.
We acknowledge the lack of access to transportation to this location and are offering transportation from Vista Hermosa Natural Park (100 N Toluca St, Los Angeles, CA 90026) to our restoration site at 8:00AM.
