July 16: Atlanta Audubon Field Trip to Pickett's Mill Battlefield Historic Park

Habitats include planted pines, an old homestead, a creek, hiking trails, some hardwoods, and old wheat and corn fields that are now overgrown and wild. We will look for Wild Turkey, warblers, sparrows, raptors, vireos, wrens, woodpeckers, and crows. The walk is approximately 1 mile and will involve some elevation changes. Restrooms are available at the Visitors Center.

The field trip is free, but the park will charge admission: adults $5.50, seniors $3.50, youth $3.00. You can also visit their website at: http://gastateparks.org/PickettsMillBattlefield.
